The Big Reveal

So today I visited with a client in the Denver area. After a lot of hard work and hard thinking, it was time for the “big reveal” … The company-wide annual strategy kickoff meeting. For me, this is one of my favorite events.

It is exciting to see how all the prep work comes together into a neat package of messaging and goal mapping, and to experience the energy as employees connect their team’s role with the company’s future success. It is a definite win for the company. And a win for the company, means I have provided value … a win for me too!

But by no means was this milestone the end of the story, in fact strategy definition is just the beginning. Starting next week it becomes a matter of execution. Executives will shift from the doers defining the way, to the leaders enabling their teams to achieve excellence, and engaging individuals with the company in a new way.

And this is just the beginning … I can’t wait for what is to come!
